PAfE - Extension Blocked after MS Office Application Updates

Ran into an issue where the PAfE extension was triggering security alerts in Excel after IT had pushed Office application updates. This was due to the add-in being flagged as untrusted during the update process.

 

Solution: Move the add-in file to somewhere like “My Documents” that is within the user's profile. Once accessed from there, the issue should no longer persist.
