Changing Your IBMId and its Consequences

Your IBM Profile contains two separate fields with email addresses: IBMid and Email Address.
IBMId is the email address you use for logging in, however, it is not necessarily the email address tied to your account in the application for which you are using IBMId as authentication.
Cognos Analytics on Cloud
If you change the IBMid field, you can now log in under the new email address and everything will work as intended.
If you change the Email Address field, you will not be able to log in, as that is the field that IBMId authentication uses to match with your account in Cognos Analytics on Cloud.
The only way to truly "change" your IBMId and unique identifier in Cognos Analytics is to delete and recreate the account on the Cognos Analytics side to match the updated Email Address field in your IBM Profile.
